As of May 28, 2019, Youthpass is available for all European Solidarity Corps participants for reflecting on the learning process and for documenting their learning outcomes. Youthpass in the European Solidarity Corps has the same aim as Youthpass in Erasmus+: to enable participants to become more aware of and better capable to present and use the learning outcomes they acquired during their participation in the projects. This is done by applying the so-called Youthpass process – continuous and supported reflection on learning – throughout the project life cycle.
Youthpass is available for all activity types within the Corps; it complements the confirmation of participation of the Solidarity Corps. You can see example certificates for different project types in Solidarity Corps 2018-2020 here. As the framework for describing the learning outcomes, the certificate includes the revised Key Competences for Lifelong Learning for young people as participants. Have a look at the Key Competences framework here.
We recommend embedding the educational approach of Youthpass from the start of the project and using it during the project activities as a tool to help participants to become more aware of, reflect on and assess their learning process and outcomes. If you are planning or preparing a project within the European Solidarity Corps, these links may provide you with some helpful guidance about what to consider:
- Please have a look at the Handbooks section on the Youthpass website. We would like to point out two publications in particular: One 2 One reflects on supporting learning in individual work with young people; whereas Youthpass Unfolded explains the Youthpass process and suggests methods to implement it in various contexts.
- If you wish to try out how the Youthpass database works, please use the demo website on http://demo.youthpass.eu/en/login
